The StandUp World Series Tour finished up last weekend crowning the first StandUp Racing World Champ (congrats Kai Lenny!)... Big Congratulations for Slater Slater trout racing consistantly strong all year to finish the world ranked as the #3 fastest paddler in the world! This is huge and solidifies Slater's new raceboard designs the "Whiplash 14" and Cutthroat 12'6" are legit and can win in any condition. We here at Infinity have to give a BIG CONGRATULATIONS to the "manchild" Slater Trout!

Press Release: 17 year old Slater Trout finishes 3rd in the Stand Up World Series rankings against Kai Lenny(20) and 18 year old Connor Baxter. It's been a long year of racing for Slater, starting back at the end of 2011 in Fiji, and then finishing up at home in Hawaii.

The finals were held at the Turtle Bay Resort on the NorthShore of Oahu, Oct 12-14, 2012. The conditions were challenging for all competitors with consistent side shore winds and solid swell in the water. The athletes were put to the test by having to manage their nutrition, equipment and the conditions.

Slater also finished 3rd in the Sprint event, narrowly missing the second place spot by fractions. It literally came down to a photo finish between first, second, third and fourth. He was feeling under the weather on day one of the Long Distance Race but he made up ground on day two that secured his place in the Overall standings. " I'm already looking forward to 2013" said Slater.
